Silicon Valley is the home of the headquarters of many leading Fortune500 enterprises: Apple, Intel, Hewlett-Packard, Facebook, Google, just to name a few. The Valley has also become the birthplace of many noteworthy start-ups that have definitely made a significant impact on the world. In the fierce global high-tech competition Hungarian companies have often proven to be successful: Graphisoft, Kürt, Prezi, Ustream, etc. For those that have been established in Hungary the question arises: is it worth establishing a subsidiary in the Silicon Valley in order to conquer the world; is the chance of getting equity greater there; which are the legal advantages; which are the business risks?
